WHAT IS 4X24?
4x24 is a collaborative fund raising event between local artists to help generate much needed funds for Outflow Men's Shelter.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
If you can paint you can participate.
DOES THAT MEAN I ONLY GET 1 HOUR TO PAINT?
Not at all, you can begin and finish your painting at home if you wish, I only ask that you BE AT THE SHELTER FOR YOUR ALLOTTED TIME, and your painting be onsite before the start of the auction.
DOES IS COST ANYTHING?
WHY DO I HAVE TO BE THERE FOR MY TIME.
Although I try really hard to make it so the artists only have to contribute their time, any participating artist may have to purchase a canvas.
It's a means of raising awareness and showing solidarity to those who are less fortunate and require places like Outflow Men's Shelter.
WHY 4x24?
Well it takes place in April, (the 4th month of the year) and it's a 24 hour long event.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN 24 HOUR?
Well each artist is assigned a 1 hour time slot, from between 5pm on the 21st to 4pm on the 22nd.
CAN I JUST DONATE A PAINTING FOR THE CAUSE?
Of course you can, please make sure the painting is on location prior to the auction, with your name and a SHORT artist bio.
WHAT'S THIS ABOUT A COMMUNAL CANVAS?
This is one final, LARGE canvas that all artists are asked to paint a small part of.
